Seeking a Construction Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of a project and can work in a wide variety of fields. The Project Manager will generally be responsible for the execution of plans and procedures for projects. Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule as well as communicating with company executives about the state of the project and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Negotiating contracts with external vendors and subcontractors to reach profitable agreements
  • Determining needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Planning all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals

  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
  • Staying on top of invoicing the client to ensure positive cash flow

The Project Manager will generally be responsible for the execution of plans and procedures for retail projects. Over the course of a project, the Project Manager will need to communicate with Owners/Owner’s Representatives, staff, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and building code officials, to make decisions while monitoring the progress of the project to keep it on schedule and on budget.

General Contractor in the North Hills of Pittsburgh seeks a full-time Traveling Superintendent with extensive knowledge of commercial and retail construction. Successful applicant may be asked to travel but not required if you are Pittsburgh-based, as we have plenty of Pittsburgh metro area work. Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office and Excel. The Assistant Project Manager’s role is to assist the Project Manager through the life cycle of a construction project, including but not limited to, assisting in estimating, subcontract development, procurement, job cost management, billing, etc. You will be responsible for multiple projects in various locations throughout the country.
Responsibilities & tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Ordering drawings and construction materials

  • Determining the necessary trades on construction plans

  • Communicating with owner's rep, landlord, subcontractors, vendors and client project managers

  • Qualifying subcontractors and bids

  • Handling travel arrangements for Project Managers and Superintendents

  • College degree
